Jets CB Revis Fires Back at Giants WR’s About Matchup Saturday

In his first opportunity to return serve at the Giants wide receivers Thursday, Darrelle Revis kept his message simple: “We’ll see on Saturday at 1 p.m.”

“I don’t even know who this guy is, really. So, no,” Revis said on whether the comments made by Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks got him revved up. “Whoever said what. I’m not entertaining it. If I wanted to watch entertainment I’d look to a reality show or something. Watch TV.

“It don’t matter what I say, it doesn’t matter what other receivers say, if it’s on paper, it’s on paper. You have to go out there and play on Sundays and you have to prove it. You just gotta prove it.”

Yesterday, Nicks called Revis “decent,” but later “great.” Cruz said that “teams aren’t really scared anymore. He’s had to earn his money this year and teams aren’t really backing down,” Cruz said. “I feel like we’re going to do the same thing until he physically stops us, and we’re going to spread the ball around.”

When read that specific comment, Revis joked: “I mean I’m not a monster so why would anybody be scared? I don’t know.”

Revis added: “The craziest thing is, a lot of people don’t trash talk on the field when it comes game time. It really don’t matter, these guys can say whatever they want to say and you just laugh at it. You laugh and say ‘okay, we’ll see come game time.'”

“Man a lot of receivers talk about us but they don’t ever have a big game,” he said. “Me and Darelle are going to go out ad do the things we need to do.

“I like people getting riled up, I hope so. I hope they keep talking, I hope they talk on Saturday too on the field.”
