“Don’t be fooled by the record.”
– Head coach Tom Coughlin on the challenges posed by the 4-9 Washington Redskins

That’s the question, is this a must win game? I certainly wish it was not, the fact is that, it is. It’s a must win game because the Giants lost a few games they had to/should have won and were capable of winning. The Seattle game was winnable they are no better than a .500 team as their record shows. The second Eagles game was a bad loss, they beat us badly and certainly they were not the better team. Like the saying goes “on any given Sunday…” and we lost.
They had to win those games because everybody knew the NFL handed the Giants a manure sandwich and stuck them with an extremely difficult stretch of games. New England, the Forty Niners, Philly, New Orleans, Green Bay and Dallas was a brutal run. We went 2-4 beating the Pats and the Cowboys. We should have beaten Philly and I still say we beat Green Bay, but the record doesn’t show that.
This is a trap game, the Redskins are not that good, the Giants should beat them.
