Rick Smith Must Apologize to Texans Fans

Texans GM Rick Smith recently said that he wasn’t going to pursue Brett Favre because he didn’t want to bring the “circus” to the Texans.

Things he could have said instead:
1. “I don’t want Favre because he isn’t willing to be a back-up.”
2. “I don’t want Favre because he didn’t seem committed to the Vikings last year.”
3. “I don’t want Favre because I think T.J. Yates is a better quarterback than him right now.”

Ur an idiot. He doesnt’ owe anyone an apolgogy for that statement…if anything you owe the readers an apology for such a week article. Find some real news to report on.

If you read the whole article, why are you commenting here and not on the article?

So, do you agree with him that it doesn’t matter how good or bad Brett Favre is, just that they wouldn’t want all that distraction and controversy?

Chuck Pagano and Dick Lebeau believe in disguising coverages and battering young quarterbacks. I’m not sure Yates is going to be able to score on those Ravens and Steelers defenses in the playoffs, but Brett Favre has seen many defenses. Many Texans fans I talked to were also surprised at the lack of professionalism by Smith. I guess we’ll have to agree to disagree.

I don’t know if Brett would have been available or not but:

Rick Smith should be apologizing to the fans for not even looking into the situation while he had a “potential” Super Bowl contender. Seems he would rather play it safe with a win or two in the playoffs rather than take any potential media circus that might have come with Brett and pushed his team over the top !!

No Guts No Glory Rick – Find out the hard way then apologize to your Fans for not even picking up the phone !!!
