Jets Say They Need to Go Undefeated To Make the Playoffs – Do They Do It?

The Jets feel they need to win all six of their remaining games, beginning with the Bills Sunday at the Meadowlands, just to get into the playoffs.

“Six-and-0,” LB Calvin Pace said. “Sometimes when you get caught losing to teams you’re not supposed to lose to, you end up kicking yourself in the butt saying, ‘Man, we put ourselves behind the eight-ball. These are games we should win.’ ”

The Jets have five conference losses — to the Patriots twice, Ravens, Raiders and Broncos. They have three AFC games remaining in their final six , beginning with the Bills, and later the Chiefs and Dolphins.

They have nonconference games at Washington and Philadelphia and against the Giants, games that veteran running back LaDainian Tomlinson feels they need to win as well.

“I feel like we do have to win these last six games,” said Tomlinson, who is highly questionable to play Sunday because of a left knee injury. “That would put us at 11-5; that should be enough to get us in. You look at 10-6 and I don’t know if that is enough.”
