The Jaguars announced that they have placed linebacker Clint Session on injured reserve with a head injury.
Originally selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Colts, Session signed a five-year, $26.8 million contract with the Jaguars as a free agent on July 29. In nine games, including six starts, Session totaled 30 tackles and a quarterback sack
Linebacker Kevin Bentley, 31, has been signed to replace Session. Bentley has 412 tackles, one quarterback sack and two interceptions in 132 games with the Browns (2002-04), Seahawks (2005-07) and Texans (2008-10). Bentley had a brief stint with the Chargers during the 2011 preseason and worked out for the Carolina Panthers in October.
