Despite Winning; Tony Sparano Not Likely to Stick Around

It would take Tony Sparano and the Dolphins running the table, finishing 9-7 and making the playoffs (and that would make NFL history) to force owner Stephen Ross away from his plans to make a change according to Greg Cote of the Miami Herald.

Nobody with a shred of sanity would bet on this happening. The players believe they can do it, the font of that belief is Sparano, and fighting for their immensely popular head coach is much of what drives this team right now.

Everywhere you turn in the locker room, there is affection for Sparano, there is respect, and there also is guilt for the 0-7 start that surely doomed the coach’s future.
