An MRI has confirmed that Vikings running back Adrian Peterson suffered a high left ankle sprain on Sunday, head coach Leslie Frazier announced during his Monday afternoon press conference.
Peterson will be in a walking boot and will try to practice on Friday, but his availability for Sunday’s game against the Falcons is in question.
Peterson had six carries for 26 yards and one touchdown in the first quarter of Sunday’s 27-21 loss to the Raiders before he left the game towards the end of the first quarter.
