Mannelly out for the season

Long-snapper Patrick Mannelly will miss the rest of the season with a ruptured ACL he suffered on an extra-point attempt midway through the second quarter.

Mannelly, who joined the Bears in 1998 as a sixth-round draft pick from Duke, has played in a franchise-record 215 games, missing just three contests in 14 seasons.

Fullback Tyler Clutts filled in for Mannelly against the Chargers, snapping on a punt for the first time since high school.
