Rams vs Seahawks – Q2 Update

The Rams took several steps backwards in the 2nd quarter. Sticking with a one word analysis, I’d have to pick different words for the Rams offense and defense.  For the defense the word would again be ‘Solid’.  The Seahawks began with extremely good field position for the entire 2nd quarter.  The Rams secondary gave up a TD, but considering the amount of time they spent on the field its was still a pretty solid performance.  Unfortunately, that single word comparison would have to change from ‘Solid’ to something more like ‘Jello-ish’ the last 3 minutes of the half.  T Jackson delivered a 35 yard pass to a wide open Baldwin.  Then after a tough defensive stand (including a big sack), the Rams were called for pass interference in the end zone setting up an easy Seahawks goal line field goal.

The Rams offensive was flat out terrible.  What would be a good single word comparison?  ‘Pepto Bismal-ish’?  They could get nothing done in the 2nd quarter.  Contrary to the Seahawks, the Rams had bad starting field position for most of the quarter.  The Rams had 4 first downs the entire first half and 109 yards of total offense for the game.  The Rams’ offense has got to get involved here and take some of the pressure off of the defense.  At halftime the score is Rams 7, Seahawks 10.

Go Rams!!!
