Bills cornerback Terrence McGee will likely miss the remainder of the 2011 season after suffering a knee injury during the team’s 35-8 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
McGee was injured during a four-yard touchdown pass from Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore to wide receiver Davone Bess late in the first half.
The 31-year-old cornerback missed four games earlier this season with a hamstring injury and has 28 tackles and two passes defensed on the season. McGee is signed through 2013, but given his age, injury history — has only played all 16 games in a season once during his career — and salary owed the last two seasons ($9.3 million), the Bills may look to renegotiate his contract for him to return.
In addition to McGee, wide receiver Donald Jones re-injured an ankle that kept him out of two games last month. The injury is expected to keep him out three-to-six weeks.
Now 5-5 after a three-game losing streak, the Bills travel to face the New York Jets next Sunday.
