Raiders running back Darren McFadden and Jacoby Ford were not at practice Monday, and seem like big longshots to come back from their sprained foot injuries in time to play Sunday in Minnesota according to Vittorio Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
McFadden, who has been out three weeks now, at least had his protective walking boot off at some point Monday, Raiders coach Hue Jackson said. Jackson was asked what are the running back’s chances of playing this week.
“Honestly I don’t know,” Jackson said. “I’m going to leave that to our doctors. He is getting closer, I do know that.
“I know he’s working his tail off,” Jackson added. “When I saw him this morning he looked good. Until we get closer later on in the week and we know exactly where he is, I don’t want to speculate.”
Ford was wearing a boot Monday after injuring his foot in the first quarter of Thursday’s win over San Diego.
“We’re going to know more as we move through the week,” Jackson said. “I don’t know exactly what it is. When I say that I mean, every time I say I say it’s this, it’s that. We’re going to just evaluate as we move through the week and see where he is.”
