Rams Ink LB Justin Cole off Chiefs Practice Squad

The Rams have signed linebacker Justin Cole off the Chiefs practice squad, Ken Sarnoff, Cole’s agent, announced on Twitter.

Signed by the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of San Jose State in 2010, Cole spent most of his rookie season on the team’s 53-man roster before he was waived and re-signed to the practice squad. Cole returned to the practice squad this season after recording eight tackles and a quarterback sack in the preseason.

Cole had six tackles in the Chiefs’ 14-10 loss to the Rams in the 2011 preseason.

By signing Cole off the practice squad, he is guaranteed three active roster game checks, a total of $79,411, regardless of whether or not he remains on the roster during that period of time.
