Linebacker Aaron Curry has been fined $20,000 for his roughing the passer penalty in Week 9, Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports.
Curry was determined to have struck Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow in the head and neck area. This is Curry’s second fine since being traded to Oakland by the Seahawks last month. Curry was fined $10,000 for a late hit in Week 7.
The fourth overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, Curry is earning $5.076 million in base salary this season. Oakland’s portion of that is $370,588, or twelve game checks worth $30,882 before taxes.
