Redskins Agree To Terms With WR David Anderson

Free agent wide receiver David Anderson has agreed to terms with the Redskins, Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports.

A 2006 seventh-round pick out of Colorado State by the Houston Texans, Anderson has 82 receptions for 895 yards and three touchdowns in 69 games over the last six seasons, including 57 receptions for 511 yards and two touchdowns over the 2008-09 seasons when current Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan was the Texans’ offensive coordinator.

Shanahan was also Anderson’s first NFL position coach in 2006. Released by the Texans in July, Anderson went to training camp with the Denver Broncos, but did not make the 53-man roster. The Texans re-signed Anderson in September, but he was released in October. Anderson worked out for the St. Louis Rams last month.
