Gore Says Ankle Sprain Won’t Sideline Him Vs Giants

Running back Frank Gore says he’ll be ready to play in Sunday’s NFC clash against the 6-2 Giants at Candlestick. Gore sprained his left ankle while romping for 107 yards on 19 carries in the 19-11 win in Washington. Gore needed assistance getting down from the postgame riser after speaking to reporters after the game.

Gore had a detectable limp but wore no boot Monday in the 49ers’ locker room. He also had a clean X-ray. “I’ll be all right,” Gore assured. When asked if he’ll participate in Wednesday’s practice, Gore said, “I think I will be. I feel all right now.”
