Lindell Injures Shoulder

Bills kicker Rian Lindell’s status for next week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys is in question after the veteran suffered a right shoulder injury while making a tackle during Sunday’s 27-11 loss to the New York Jets, Rodney McKissic of The Buffalo News reports.

Lindell injured his shoulder when tackling Jets kick returner Joe McKnight on the opening kick of the second half. Lindell would kick a 24-yard field goal, but kickoff duties were handled by punter Brian Moorman for the remainder of the game.

“I certainly hope not,” Lindell said of possibly missing the Cowboys game. “It could be a deal where I have to wear a tight T-shirt and see how it goes.”

For the season, Lindell is 13-of-15 on field goal attempts and has 12 touchbacks. The 12-year veteran out of Washington State has played in 180 consecutive games, the second-longest active streak among kickers.
