Expect Bears to notch first road victory of the season in Philly

Prediction: This game has “statement win” written all over it for the underappreciated Bears.  Certainly it’s due, as it’s been a long time coming for an impressive performance away from Soldier Field.  Coming off of a Bye and fueled to stay within striking distance of the Lions, who they host next week, I look for the defense to show up big-time and contain the super-dynamic backfield of the Eagles.  Too many speedy athletes that can keep up with Vick and McCoy, to keep them under wraps.  Also, the defense will benefit from Earl Bennett’s return, giving Cutler a key target on third down to prolong drives and keep the defense fresh to stop the 1-2 punch.  Plus, there’s every reason to believe a highly motivated Forte will run behind a strong offensive line that has the ability to overmatch an undersized Philly front-seven, a la Week 7 against  Tampa Bay.  I have a feeling the Windy City soldiers will rise to the occasion and start off fast and let out their finest game of the ’11 campaign.  The push to the Playoffs begins Monday night in the City of Brotherly Love.  Bears 22 Eagles 17
