The Bengals’ ended the NFL’s longest current blackout streak by selling out their next home game, a Nov. 13 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Of course, the increased ticket sales probably comes from the fact that the Bengals are playing the Steelers (who bring a large crowd with them) than fans in Cincinnati getting behind the surprising 5-2 hometown team.
The Bengals hadn’t sold out their past seven home games. This season’s first two home games have featured the smallest crowd for a home opener at Paul Brown Stadium and the smallest crowd (41,142) in the 12-year history of the place.
Tickets still remain for the final four home regular-season games: Nov. 27 vs. Cleveland, Dec. 11 vs. Houston, Dec. 24 vs. Arizona and Jan. 1 vs. Baltimore.
