Kevin Bull of the Detroit Free Press reports former NFL All-Pro defensive tackle Warren Sapp has a problem with the attention given to postgame trash-talking.
Sapp’s target: Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.
Sapp, now an analyst for Showtime and the NFL Network, took exception to those comments and thinks Suh should have kept quiet.
“Absolutely shut up,” Sapp said today on the Dan Patrick Radio Show.
“We’re talking about taking credit for a quarterback that you didn’t sack, you didn’t take to the ground. His offensive lineman stepped on him. Remind me, didn’t Atlanta win this game?”
Suh said it was “karma” that a dirty Falcons offensive line hurt its own quarterback.
“I’m really trying to find the karma,” Sapp said. “The quarterback missed two plays, come back in and torched you for the rest of the game and you don’t get him on the ground, and now it’s karma?”
