Patriots super reliable wide receiver Wes Welker returned to practice Thursday after missing the previous day with a neck injury.
Welker appeared to suffer the injury on his last catch of Sunday’s loss in Pittsburgh.
He was grabbed by Steelers safety Troy Polamalu around the shoulders and in the neck area and taken down with about six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
Wes was slow to get up, but remained in the game.
The former Texas Tech Red Raider leads the NFL with 57 catches, 117.7 receiving yards per game, and 392 yards after catch. He is also second (Steve Smith) in receiving yards with 824 and second in first down receptions (Calvin Johnson, Jimmy Graham) with 37.
