Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb is unexpected to play Sunday against the Rams due to his turf toe, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter citing a league source.
Kolb did not practice Thursday, making it likely the club will rule him out within the next 24 hours.
However, he was able to take off the walking boot on his injured right foot Wednesday and called that “progress.”
“I have good movement today and the color is getting better,” he said. “So as long as we keep progressing, that’s the main point.”
The former Houston Cougar legend also is suffering from a mid-foot sprain in other ligaments and a bone bruise.
If Kolb is unable to go, John Skelton would start vs. one-win St. Louis on Sunday.
