Posted in The Bengals have waived cornerback Morgan Trent, Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Trent’s release creates a roster spot for the return of running back Cedric Benson, who served a one-game suspension in Week 8. The Bengals received a two-day roster exemption on Monday, which expires today.
A 2009 sixth-round pick out of Michigan, the 6-foot-1, 190-pound Trent has 60 tackles and an interception in 30 games for the Bengals. Trent was inactive for Sunday’s win over the Seattle Seahawks due to an ankle injury that popped up late in last week’s practices
