Dolphins Sign Free Agent CB Jonathan Wade

The Dolphins announced that they have signed free agent cornerback Jonathan Wade.

A 2007 third-round pick (84th overall) out of Tennessee by the St. Louis Rams, Wade had 67 tackles and two interceptions in 47 games over three seasons before the Rams placed him on waivers. Wade split last season between the Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals, totaling 44 tackles and five passes defensed.

Wade eight tackles and four passes defensed for the Bengals during the 2011 preseason, but he did not make the 53-man roster and was waived on September 3. Wade had a tryout with the Tennessee Titans earlier this month.

Safety Gerald Alexander has been released and wide receiver Marlon Moore has been placed on injured reserve.
