Coming off their bye week, the Packers announced that they have signed practice squad running back Brandon Saine to the active roster to replace Alex Green, who was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury.
An undrafted free agent from Ohio State, Saine had 19 carries for 51 yards, six receptions for 36 yards and a special teams tackle for the Packers during the preseason. Saine did not make the 53-man roster coming out of training camp, but has spent the first eight weeks of the season on the practice squad.
Green, a third-round pick out of Hawaii, had three carries for 11 yards, one reception for six yards in the four games he was active.
The Packers also signed safety Anthony Levine and rookie center Paul Fenaroli to the practice squad.
