Up three touchdowns in the first half, the Cardinals blew a chance to pick up a quality road victory over a championship-caliber team, as they lost 30-27 to the Ravens on Sunday.
Beanie Wells almost reached the century mark on the ground against a top-five rush defense and rookie Patrick Peterson returned his second punt return for score. Yet, it was not enough to counter Ray Rice’s trio of scores for the resilient Ravens.
Taking away the 12-play, 53-yard drive to start the fourth quarter to give the Cards their only points of the second half, Kevin Kolb directed four punts and threw an interception the rest of the way. Overall, it was 18 plays for 22 yards of total offense minus the field goal drive after halftime.
Next: Sunday, November 6 vs. St. Louis Rams, 2:15 MT.
