Texans linebacker Darryl Sharpton sustained a season-ending quadriceps injury on Sunday, head coach Gary Kubiak confirmed after today’s 24-14 win over the Jaguars.
A 2010 fourth-round pick (102nd overall) out of the University of Miami, Sharpton has 12 tackles in eight games this season, including three on special teams, as a backup inside linebacker in Wade Phillips’ 3-4 defense.
Sharpton had 34 tackles and a quarterback sack in 12 games, including six starts, as a rookie before landing on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
