The Ravens Should Sign Bernard Berrian

Bernard Berrian
was cut loose by the Vikings due to a lack of effort and discipline. They did the same thing to out-of-shape Bryant McKinnie towards the beginning of training camp.

Before McKinnie came to the Ravens, fellow former Miami player Ray Lewis talked to Harbaugh, saying the team could make it work.

I’m hoping McKinnie will do the same because experience helps you get open. Getting open is one of the bigger problems on a Ravens offense that has pushed the Ravens to 8th in the NFL in points per game.

Since he is a free agent, Berrian would be a cheap addition and could be brought up to speed enough to maybe run a few deep routes in Pittsburgh to draw safety atttention. He doesn’t like to go over the middle and has had some problems with catching, but it would make for the kind of 4-WR set when Lee Evans comes back that would destroy defenses.
