Avoiding The Trap

The Dolphins suck. How’s that for some bluntness. They are 0-6. Their QB, Chad Henne, is hurt. Their high priced RB, Reggie Bush, is not playing well. Their high priced WR, Brandon Marshall, drops passes left and right. Their defense, while possessing some good individual parts (Karlos Dansby, Cameron Wake, Sean Smith), is not a good unit. They are in the running for Andrew Luck.

So this should be an easy W for the GMen, right? In theory, yes. In actuality, watch out.

Tony Sparano is coaching for his job. The Fins are playing for pride. The Giants have just a brutal schedule after this game. It would make sense if the Giants are overlooking this game.

A classic trap game. Giants never do well with these. It happened earlier this year against Seattle. We can count numerous other times in recent years.

Giants have a habit of playing down to opponents. It’s a bad one. They’re going to have to avoid it on Sunday.

Giants are the better team, by far. On talent, this is a blow out. If the Giants are focused, this won’t be a problem. If they’re looking ahead, it could be an issue. Stay on guard, play Giants football and things should be fine. Just don’t take Miami lightly.
