Vikings defensive end Brian Robison was fined $20,000 by the NFL for kicking Packers offensive lineman T.J. Lang on Sunday, Jeremy Fowler of the Pioneer Press reports.
Following a second quarter field goal attempt by Packers kicker Mason Crosby, Robison kicked Lang in the groin area, drawing a 15-yard personal foul penalty. Robison apologized via Twitter to Lang.
Robison signed a three-year, $8.97 million contract extension before the lockout, which includes a $688,000 base salary this season. The $20,000 is about half of Robison’s weekly game check of $40,471.
On the season, the former Longhorn standout has tallied 17 tackles (14 solo), 4.5 sacks, and two tackles for loss.
