Rams Release Jabara Williams

Per Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Rams have released rookie outside linebacker Jabara Williams.  Jabara was a player we only heard good things about from the Rams brass and the press.  The Rams had been having trouble at outside linebacker through injuries to Brady Poppinga and the ineffectiveness of Ben Leber yet Williams never got an opportunity.

Jabara Williams was a young, athletic linebacker who needed some time to get used to the speed of the game and develop his skills.  However, as we have seen, the Rams have no idea how to develop players and have no time to develop those players when they are trying to win now to save their jobs.

Additionally, Jabara Williams is another draft pick that the Rams have lost patience with and gotten rid of before they were on the roster for even a year.  For a team that says that it wants to build through the draft and developing players, they have been doing an awful job of doing what they say.
