OT Marcus McNeill, LB Larry English Won’t Play Vs Chiefs

A neck sprain to Chargers left tackle Marcus McNeill and a foot injury to outside linebacker Larry English is expected to keep each player out of the Oct. 31 Monday night affair at Kansas City. The recovery timetable is not known for either player, although there is pessimism regarding English’s foot injury. English had surgery twice in the past year to repair foot problems with varying levels of success.

McNeill had surgery on his neck in 2008 and struggled with injury issues in that area, but his outlook is a bit rosier than English. He tried to return after getting hurt in Sunday’s game, but decided against it when he didn’t feel he had the strength to continue.
