Hurt? Short handed? Didn’t look at way Sunday in Tennessee.
The Texans pulled off one of their biggest wins in franchise history considering how they entered the game, piling up an amazing 518 yards and 27 first downs as they crushed the Titans 41-7.
The AFC South win puts the Texans at 4-3 on the season. The loss by the Titans puts them at 3-3. Since starting 3-1, the Titans have lost the last two games by a combined score of 79-24.
RB Arian Foster took care of the Titans all by himself, going off for a combined 234 yards with three touchdowns. He had a 78-yard catch and run for a score, and two shorts runs for touchdowns.
QB Matt Schaub was 18-for-23 for 296 yards with a pair of TD’s and a QB rating of 147.7 Titans QB Matt Hasselbeck was held in check, as he was harassed into going just 14-for-30 for 104 with a touchdown and two picks.
The numbers were just staggering, as the Texans did just about anything they wanted to all day against a Titans defense that couldn’t stop them from the opening kickoff.
The Titans offense held the ball for just 22:02, and was 2-for-10 on third downs. Compared to the Texans 518 yards, the Titans managed just 148 yards.
Houston’s defense held former 2000 yard rusher Chris Johnson to 18 yards on 10 carries.
The Texans are at home next week for the Jags, who are in action on Monday night against the Ravens.
