Chris Russell of ESPN 980 reports that according to multiple sources the Washington Redskins medical staff believes running back Tim Hightower has a torn ACL in his left knee.
Hightower was carted off the field during today’s 33-20 loss to the Panthers and is scheduled to undergo an MRI in the morning.
The former Spider standout leads the Redskins with 84 carries and 321 yards on the ground on the ground this season.
The Richmond alum was active, but did not play in the Redskins’ Week 6 loss to the Eagles, but had 17 carries for 88 yards before his injury on Sunday.
