Other Teams After Carson Palmer: Cardinals, Dolphins, Seahawks, 49ers

Adam Schefter of ESPN has revealed that the Cardinals, Dolphins, Seahawks and 49ers each asked about the availability of Carson Palmer before he was traded to Raiders. Schefter did not specify when all the pursuits were made, but did say that at least one was in the summer. Of those options, I think the 49ers would have been the best situation for him but there’s no guarantee he would have beaten out Alex Smith.

Once the Dolphins get their first win, they should definitely get Pat Devlin in there if they think he could be the future. Then – if they were to get in position to get Luck or even Barkley – they would be an attractive coaching spot were they to let Tony Sparano go.
