UPDATE: Coach Munchak revised his comments based on Owens, saying “he’s not a guy specifically the Titans are targeting.
Free agent wide receiver Terrell Owens has been recovering from a left knee injury (torn ACL) that required surgery. His agent Drew Rosenhaus says he will start contacting clubs immediately to reveal to them Owens is healthy according to the Associated Press.
Rosenhaus even went on to say that Owens would be available to play on Sunday in Week seven.
“We are open to any team at this point,” Rosenhaus said Wednesday. “There have been several teams showing interest thus far, but I won’t identify them at this time.”
Earlier in the week, Titans head coach Mike Munchak said his team would look at Owens if he’s indeed healthy.
For a team that has already lost standout wideout Kenny Britt for the season due to injury, sought ex-Bronco-now-Ram wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, and claimed Randy Moss off the waiver wire from the Vikings last season; you can’t doubt Munchak/Titans’ interest in T.O. when you consider their lack of pass catching weaponry for Matt Hasselbeck.
