Darrelle Revis Named AFC’s Defensive Player of the Week

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has been named the AFC’s Defensive Player of the Week for Week 6, the team announced on Wednesday.

Revis had just three tackles, but had four passes defensed, including two interceptions, one of which he returned 100 yards for a touchdown.

After not recording an interception in 2010, a lack of statistics that did not keep him from being named to a third straight Pro Bowl, Revis has three interceptions on the season, upping his career total to 17.
