Two-time Pro Bowl cornerback Lito Sheppard is working out for the Raiders on Tuesday, according to a league source.
With cornerbacks Chimdi Chekwa and Chris Johnson inactive during last Sunday’s game against the Browns, the team’s decision to try out Sheppard again, comes to no surprise.
Sheppard was signed by the Raiders on August 26, and released during the final roster cutdowns on September 3.
Last season, the Florida product appeared in 13 games with the Vikings and started two contests.
The ten-year veteran hasn’t collected an interception since ’09, when he was with the Jets.
