Governer Dayton Wants To Call A Special Session In November To Discuss The Vikings Stadium Issue

According to www.twincities.com, Minnesota Governer Mark Dayton plans to call a special session in November for the Vikings stadium, whether a plan is in place or not.  See link above to view full story.

Three words come to mind when I think of this; It’s about time.

Governer Dayton and Lawmakers seem to finally realize the importance of keeping the Vikings in Minnesota. He had a brilliant quote the other day that I could not agree with more. He says “we’re talking about the next 50 years, not the next 10 games”. He could not be more spot on. Yes, the Vikings are clearly in the re-building process right now at a 1-5 rocord, but it’s not about now. It’s about the future!

As the 19 year old columnist that I am, I want to be able to raise my children, and my children raise THEIR children, in a Minnesota Vikings home, not an L.A Vikings home. Not only that, but moving the Vikings would be a bad financial move for the NFL, and terminate 50+ years of Vikings history in Minnesota. Keep the Vikings here!
