The Falcons had injured rookie wide receiver Julio Jones go through a rehabilitation run on Monday, but his playing status remains up in the air for Sunday in Detroit.
Coach Mike Smith said he watched the run by Jones, who missed Sunday’s contest against the Panthers with a left hamstring injury.
“We’ve got to wait and see where Julio is,” Smith said. “He was working with our athletic performance department and hopefully we’ll have a better idea on Wednesday.”
Secondary injury update: Smith said he expects defensive backs Chris Owens (concussion) and James Sanders (hamstring) to practice Wednesday. Both were inactive against the Panthers.
