NFL Network is reporting that Jerry Jones is open to dealing away, backup running back, Tashard Choice. Dallas Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, told Alex Flannigan of NFL Network that he is fielding calls on the fourth round pick in 2008, and may even pull the trigger before the Tuesday trade deadline.
Choice has not performed to his ’08 and ’09 form. He has carried the ball 26 times for only 67 in five games this season. He also had a fumble in the game against New England.
The news comes at an interesting time as the Cowboys learned that starting back Felix Jones will miss up to 4 weeks with a high ankle sprain. Rookie DeMarco Murray and undrafted rookie Phillip Tanner are the only other backs on the roster.
