Seahawks claim RB Bradford off waivers

The Seahawks have been awarded rookie running back Allen Bradford off waivers.

Bradford played for Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll at USC and was a 2011 sixth-round pick of the Buccaneers, who placed Bradford on waivers on Thursday. The 5-foot-11, 235-pound Bradford was inactive the first four weeks of the season before gaining 13 yards on five carries in the Buccaneers’ 48-3 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

In the preseason, Bradford had 24 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown with three tackles on special teams.

Bradford is signed through the 2014 season at league-minimum base salaries.
