Aaron Wilson of Profootball.scout.com reports the Saints worked out former Broncos second-round tight end Richard Quinn and former Cardinals tight end Ben Patrick, according to a league source.
The Saints worked out tight ends Torrey Humphrey and Derek Schouman last week. The Broncos waived-injured Quinn due to a knee injury.
Quinn was selected during former coach Josh McDaniels’ tenure out of North Carolina two years ago. Quinn has also worked out for the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants since being cut by Denver. Quinn is regarded as a blocking tight end.
Patrick is a former Cardinals seventh-round draft pick from Delaware.
