Grubbs, Evans Improving While Smith Most Likely Out for Sunday

One of the biggest questions for the Baltimore Ravens heading into this Sunday’s game with Houston is just who will return to the field. Baltimore has been able to keep its key pieces healthy but they’ve had several issues with injuries to starters across both sides of the football.

Cornerback Jimmy Smith still appears to be out for this Sunday. He still can’t quite cut yet and his side to side movement is limited.

Wide Receiver Lee Evans returned to practice Monday. Evans was non-committal about his return for Sunday’s game but he did say he is making progress.

Starting Guard Ben Grubbs also practiced Monday. He’s been out with Turf Toe for the last three weeks. No word yet on his availability for Sunday.

Wide Receiver / Kick Returner David Reed is out of his sling but appears to still be a week or two away from a return to action though he also practiced Monday.

Safety Haruki Nakamura practiced on a limited basis. He is recovering from a PCL strain.

There were no updates on Linebacker Dannell Ellerbee (right hamstring) or Cornerback Chris Carr (left hamstring) or Safety Tom Zbikowski (concussion).

As always pay closer attention to Wednesday and Thursday’s injury report to get a better feel for who may be active against Houston.
