The Colts have re-signed defensive tackle Daniel Muir, owner Jim Irsay tweeted.
Originally signed by the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State in 2007, Muir appeared in three games with the Packers as a rookie before moving on the Colts in 2008.
Over three seasons with the Colts, Muir started 24 of 36 games and totaled 93 tackles and a half a quarterback sack. Muir went to training camp with the St. Louis Rams, but did not make the 53-man roster and was released in September.
Six days after losing Eric Foster to a gruesome leg injury, the Colts gave up 119 yards to Kansas City Chiefs running back Jackie Battle in Sunday’s 28-24 loss that dropped Indianapolis to 0-5 on the season.
First-year offensive lineman Mike Tepper has been waived.
