Falcons WR White Not Happy with Rodgers’ Comments

The Falcons will host the Packers on Sunday night but don’t expect Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Falcons receiver Roddy White to exchange pleasantries.

Rodgers claimed the Falcons made “borderline disrespectful” comments after last year’s NFC Divisional Playoff Game was won by Green Bay.

Falcons wide receiver Roddy White returned to practice on Thursday and responded to Aaron Rodgers’ perceived slight according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“What am I supposed to say about last year,” White said. “It was last year. If he wants to use that as motivation, let him use that as motivation. Anything to get you going? He’s reaching.”

Rodgers led the Packers to 48-21 victory over the Falcons in the divisional round of the playoffs last season at the Georgia Dome.

White re-stated his position on how the worst playoff defeat in Falcons’ history happened.

“We didn’t give our best effort on that day,” White said. “They are a good football team. They are the champs. What can you say bad about those guys, they are 4-0. If he has to use that as motivation . . . he’s been using that for the last three weeks. It is, what it is.”
