Panthers claim rookie S Hines off waivers; release Considine

The Panthers announced that they have claimed rookie safety Jermale Hines off waivers from the Colts.

The Colts had waived Hines to sign offensive lineman Mike Tepper off the practice squad on Monday.

A 2011 fifth-round pick by the Rams, Hines was inactive the first three games of the season before he was waived on September 27 and claimed by the Colts.

More roster moves: To make room for the Ohio State product, the Panthers waived veteran safety Sean Considine. The Panthers also signed linebacker Kion Wilson to the practice squad, releasing rookie cornerback Kendric Burney.
