Washington Redskins’ starting strong safety LaRon Landry was missing for a portion of the second half of Sunday’s game, but returned later in the game to finish out his second contest since he made his season debut last week.
Landry wasn’t injured, and he wasn’t receiving IV fluids as he was last Monday when he missed part of the third quarter during the Cowboys game.
“I think it was just one series, but he went off to the restroom,” coach Mike Shanahan said after Sunday’s win. “Something happened.”
The coach didn’t elaborate further, and when asked if he was battling illness of some kind – or taking a Haynesworth type break – Landry said only, “I’m good.”
The safety offered no further details, and the topic of discussion turned to the game.
Meanwhile, cornerback Josh Wilson stood nearby and found the whole situation amusing.
