I have a theory about why the standings seem to be a bit upside down this season. I think that Chan Gailey , coach of the Bills, and Lions coach Jim Schwartz ran into Dr. Emmett Brown(Christopher Lloyd) and cut him a deal. I think they time traveled, via the Delorean, back to the 1991 season. That season the Lions finished 12-4 and lost to the Washington Redskins in the NFC Championship game, and the Bills finished 13-3 and lost to those same Redskins in Superbowl XXVI. Whether or not they are in cahoots with Doc Brown, they have played really well in September. Can they both move on into October and keep it up? Can Andy Reid get in on this deal? On to the weekly lunch table picks.
I am just getting the taste of vomit out of my mouth after that terrible Eagles performance last week. I feel very confident that they hold off the 49ers at home this week. Eagles over 49ers, 32-21. There is not much to say about the Bengals. Bills out shoot the Bengals 44-17. Come on McNabb! Oh wait he’s not an Eagle anymore. Finally McNabb gets his first win wearing purple. Vikes over Chiefs, 24-17. The Lions are going into Big D on Sunday, and will expose Dallas for what they are. Lions beat up the Cowboys 30-17. Panthers make it two in a row, and roll over the Bears in The Windy City, 24-20. Sorry Bronco Fan, this season is a race to the number one draft pick for you. The only thing you may be able to pick up this weekend is some good bratwurst while tailgating. Packers roll 38-20. My lunch table picks wouldn’t be complete without a pick for our absent Saint fan. Saints go to 3-1 while putting a 40 burger on the Jags, 41-23. Now to the rest of the games.
