Well, the Giants had a hell of a victory last week, and they’ll look to build on that as they face the Cardinals in Arizona.

The offense was great last week. Victor Cruz stepped up. Eli was terrific. Bradshaw and Jacobs were great catching balls out of the backfield. Now, Mario Manningham is going to be back. The Cardinals have a bad secondary, so look for the Giants to air it out. I’m hoping they build off of last week’s creativity. The Giants used a lot of draws, counters, some run and shoot concepts. Loved it. Hope they keep it up. I wold also like the Giants to run the ball more. Yes, the Cards have a bad secondary, but the Giants are at their best when they run the ball. Stick to it.
I just loved how the defense played last week. The pass rush was ferocious, and if Osi plays, it could only get better. I love how Aaron Ross played, and I want to see him continue that. Stopping Larry Fitzgerald is always a challenge, and I’m sure you’re going to see either double coverage, or a safety over the top. He’s the biggest threat. Beanie Wells has a lot of talent, but I think that the Cards should have kept onto Tim Hightower. I think if the Giants are aggressive, they should be fin.
It’s the Kevin Kolb era, and it’s only been decent. 5 TDs, 3 picks. Interestingly, all his picks happened in losses. A 62.5% completion rate. Not bad. Not great. He only really has Fitzgerald. They’re missing Stevie Breaston and Anquan Boldin, for sure. A healthy Todd Heap would help. As for the defense, Calais Campbell is a stud at DE, as is Darnell Dockett. Patrick Peterson, the highly touted rookie, is starting to turn it on. But their linebackers aren’t that good, and they haven’t really replaced Antrel Rolle. Peterson, however, is dangerous on returns.
The Giants should come off last game with fire and passion. They played great, and should build on it. The Cardinals aren’t great, and while west coast trips are rough, it shouldn’t be too rough. FINAL SCORE: Giants 28, Cardinals 10
Unfortunately, no coverage this afternoon. Both JW and I have conflicts. We apologize. We’ll be able to put up posts with the score.
