This one wasn’t pretty. Starting quarterback Chad Henne left the game in the first half with a left shoulder (non-throwing) injury, and the Dolphins fell to the Chargers, 26-16.
Again it was the inefficiency in the red-zone and failure to get a defensive stop when necessary that did Miami in this week. The team was missing starters Daniel Thomas, Vontae Davis, and Koa Misi, but the team looked no better in those categories than they did all season long.
At this point, the only thing Dolphins fans have to look forward to are the Jets games, praying that we can at least take one away from our rivals.
With head coach Tony Sparano on his way out after the season with his seat only getting hotter with each loss, and Henne unable to make a difference, it appears the Fins are heading for yet another rebuilding process, this next one hopefully being the last.
The full recap with my thoughts on today’s performances to come tomorrow.
